For this job we were asked to provide a security solution for a plant hire company in Carnwath, after discussions and various site meetings with the client we agreed an aluminium cantilever sliding gate would be the best choice, due to the sloping ground and muddy surface a track would potentially clog up and cause jamming of the carriage wheels.
The cantilever design means that the gate is supported from one end as it opens and closes, so there is no need for a track to be fitted across the entrance. With “no track required” installed across the gate opening, a single leaf cantilever gate can span widths of up to 10m and be installed on uneven ground, over block-paving, grass, gravel or even water.
The gate glides on two sets of support/guide rollers, fixed to a concrete foundation, hidden within the main lower beam extrusion protecting them from the elements ensuring a reliable, smooth and virtually silent operation.
We can supply cantilever gates with various infill options including but not limited to palisade, round bar, mesh, timber panels and solid sheeting, for any enquiries email the team on email@example.com or give us a call on 01506 332021.
For access control we used a Cellcom Prime GSM from AES, this model works by sim card, allowing users at the gate to call up to 4 stored numbers simultaneously, the client can then give access from anywhere in the world via their phones keypad. This is a great solution for sites where the main office isn’t on site or for out of hours access. We have added a link to the AES website please have a look at their impressive line up of access control equipment!
CM Gates & Barriers undertook all the civils work, this included the substantial concrete base which required a digger and filled an 8 yard skip! We also manufactured the intercom post from mild steel which was then sent away to be galvanised and powder coated!
Another happy customer and some great pics for the portfolio!
