We are delighted to share that we have been awarded accreditation from Alcumus SafeContractor for achieving excellence in health and safety in the workplace.
Alcumus SafeContractor is a leading accreditation scheme which recognises extremely rigorous standards in health and safety management amongst contractors. It is used by thousands of organisations in the UK including SMEs and FTSE 100 companies.
Our application for SafeContractor accreditation was driven by the need for a uniform standard across the business. SafeContractor accreditation will enhance our ability to win new contracts, and further solidifies the importance of safety which we are big proponents of.
Alcumus SafeContractor is an accreditation scheme that assesses the health and safety arrangements, policies and qualifications of contractors. Many major clients recognize the scheme and accept the SafeContractor certificate as confirmation of competency in health and safety practice.
Gemma Archibald, Chief Operating Officer of Alcumus SME said “Major organisations simply cannot afford to run the risk of employing contractors who are not able to prove that they have sound health and safety policies in place.”
“More companies need to understand the importance of adopting good risk management in the way that CM Gates & Barriers has done. The firm’s high standard has set an example which hopefully will be followed by other companies within the sector. SafeContractor plays a vital role in supporting our clients in meeting their compliance needs, whilst working with their contractors as they progress through the accreditation process.”
Craig Manson, Director at CM Gates & Barriers, is delighted to have been awarded this accreditation and is looking forward to the opportunities that this may bring in the future.
“Since day one, safety has been at the forefront of everything we do. Whether it’s the safety of the systems we install and work on, or the safety of our employees, we firmly believe it is a responsibility that we take on within this industry, and have a duty to ensure we’re doing what we can to stay up-to-date with all regulations and guidance. We are excited to see what opportunities our accreditation brings, and look forward to expanding our client base in an effort to continue serving all of Scotland.”
